The legal profession is constantly evolving. While the foundations of law are built on centuries-old traditions, the daily operations of law firms are increasingly defined by digital solutions, automation, data security, and changing client expectations.
During the development of Flowyer, we encounter these issues daily. That's why we decided to launch our own blog.
Why are we starting a blog?
During the development of Flowyer, we face practical questions that define the operations of law firms every day. Developing a management system is not just a technological task; it also requires a deeper understanding of the processes of legal work.
We need to understand how a lawyer works. How does a new client arrive, how does an inquiry become an assignment, how do we manage case files, deadlines, documents, billing, or even communication with the client?
And meanwhile, new questions keep arising.
What tasks are worth automating? How does artificial intelligence change legal work? How can documents be shared securely? What digital solutions can reduce administration? Where is the line between useful technology and unnecessary complexity?
These are the topics we want to discuss on this blog.
Not just about Flowyer
Of course, we will regularly report on Flowyer's developments, new features, and the solutions we use to simplify the daily operations of law firms.
But we don't want this blog to be solely about us.
We find the broader environment in which law firms operate much more interesting.
We want to write about the digitalization of law firms, the possibilities of automation, data security, the changes in client communication, the legal applications of artificial intelligence, as well as technological and professional trends that may have long-term effects on legal services.
From time to time, we also want to look further afield: interesting legal history topics, curiosities related to the legal profession, and questions that are simply worth pondering can also find a place here.
Technology at the service of the lawyer
When developing Flowyer, we always start from the premise that a good technological solution should not be interesting in itself.
Technology is useful when it saves time.
When it reduces administration.
When it helps ensure fewer things remain in your head or in separate Excel sheets, emails, and calendar entries.
And most importantly, when it leaves more time for the work that truly requires a lawyer's expertise.
This approach will also be reflected in the blog's topic selection. We want to write not just about new technologies, but also about whether they have real practical benefits for a law firm.
A place to share experiences and thoughts
Over the past years, we have received a lot of feedback, questions, and ideas from lawyers and law firms.
In many cases, these conversations led to new Flowyer features.
Therefore, we don't intend for the blog to be one-way communication. We want it to be a platform where we can share our own experiences while also addressing topics that concern the legal profession.
