New Flowyer DocFiller: Automatic Word Document Filling on Windows, Mac, and Browser

When preparing a contract, power of attorney, or submission, it is often not the drafting of the legal text that takes the most time. Frequently, it is necessary to repeatedly search for, copy, and paste the data of the client, the opposing party, and other participants in the case into the appropriate sections of the document.

Name, birth details, address, company name, headquarters, registration numbers, and other information are transferred from one system to another. This is not only time-consuming but also poses a risk of errors: a single typo, outdated data, or a value pasted in the wrong place can necessitate a review and correction of the document.

The new Word add-in from Flowyer, the Flowyer DocFiller, simplifies this process.

Data from Flowyer, directly into the Word document

With Flowyer DocFiller, the data of clients, opposing parties, and other participants recorded in Flowyer can be directly inserted into prepared Word templates.

To fill the document, there is no need to individually search for, copy, and paste the data into the appropriate places. The add-in automatically places the data related to the selected person, company, or other participant into the document.

The filled fields appear highlighted, making it easy to review which parts of the document have been automatically filled. This allows for quicker verification while reducing the risk of errors from manual data entry.

Reusable Word templates

Document templates can be created in the system where the location of automatically filled data can be predetermined.

Such templates can be prepared for:

contracts,
powers of attorney,
declarations,
data sheets,
submissions,
client information sheets,
and other documents regularly used by the office.

The template only needs to be properly prepared once. Subsequently, new documents can be filled with the data of the case and its participants.

This allows the law firm to retain its own familiar documents, wording, and formatting while automating a significant portion of repetitive data entry.

Not only client data can be used

In documents prepared during legal work, it is often necessary to include not only the client's data but also the data of the opposing party, the authorized representative, the contact person, the witness, or other participants in the case.

For company formation, information on the planned company name, headquarters, business activities, ownership ratios, or officers must be recorded.

With the Flowyer Custom Forms module, the office can create its own data request forms. The completed form can be shared with the client or other parties via a single link, and no Flowyer account is required for completion. The responses received appear in a structured format directly in Flowyer.

Flowyer DocFiller can also incorporate data recorded in custom forms into the appropriate fields of Word templates. Thus, not only personal and company data recorded in Flowyer but also uniquely requested information related to the case can automatically appear in the document to be prepared.

How can it work in practice?

When preparing a real estate transaction, the office can send the client a custom data request form designed for the real estate transaction.

The seller and buyer can provide, among other things, on the form:

their personal data,
the property data,
the purchase price,
the payment schedule,
the planned date of possession,
and other essential terms of the transaction.

The form can even request documents and images, allowing the client to directly upload files of their documents or energy certificate.

The data from the completed form is received in Flowyer, and then DocFiller places the appropriate information in the prepared Word contract. The attorney can then focus on the professional review, supplementation, and finalization of the document.
